This is one of my first functional walkers, it was designed in the walking habits of a horse. to research this I researched how to animate horses, so I emphasized its hip movements and leg rotations. It was difficult to balance so I had to weigh down the front of it. Structural integrity was a big challenge often meaning make or break (especially the gears and the motors) and I was challenged a lot by this. In order for it to move anywhere I needed elastics give it some traction.
