Hello! After an unbelievably long absence, I am back. I am sorry but I have been doing a LOT of stuff, lately. I have made many, many robots during this wait period, and am planning to post them one by one.
Okay, I'd like to introduce you to my new robot and my first entry to the wearables challenge, and the Olympics Challenge. I present, ARAMG! ARAMG, (Arm Robotic Automatic Machine Gun) is an extremely comfortable and stable gun that can be attatched to the arm of a person.
Unlike most, ARAMG can stay on without the other arm having to hold it to steady it. It can be used in dire situations by attaching a US sensor that will detect potential foes. If an enemy is detected, it will sound an alarm, warn you, and fire. You can also fire it by pressing a touch sensor that is in the grip of your hand.
Now, you may be wondering, how on earth can this thing be valid for the Olympics building challenge? Well, it turns out that we have a ping pong table in our house. Have you guessed it? Yes, that's right, I use it for ping-pong training! Olympic players need to be able to hit extremely fast balls that are coming almost continually, so, I decided to come up with something that stimulated this. I simply fire as fast and in any direction I want at the other end of the table, serve style, and a person at the other end tries to hit it back at me. I wish I could show you a video of this, but I am not allowed to post videos or pictures that have humans in them. Anyway, thanks, and I'll see you next time.
P.S. IMPORTANT. PLEASE TAKE NOTE. The ultrasonic sensor is not pictured in the images because I did not bother to take extra pictures of it after I added it, then dismanted it. I apologise, and promise to do better in the future.
P.P.S. TO THE MODERATORS AND EVERYBODY ELSE: The program is in ev3 form because my PC stopped working a while ago, and am unable to use other types of computers for the NXT software.
